Our dream come true: Certified Fair Trade and Certified Organic, palm oil free, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Bar Soap. It's a mouth full but it's the only one in the ...World! That's right, and we are the first retail store to sell it. Olive oil soap is smooth and silky, and this soap lathers beautifully. Its palm oil-free feature decreases rain forest destruction. And to top it off, it comes to us in a long bar for hand cutting which reduces packaging. There's so much more to this story and this amazing company, so please click through for details about this new luxury soap. Now "the old country" olive oil skin care secrets are available at Real Green Goods.

Certified Fair Trade, Organic, Cold-Pressed Extra-Virgin Premium Estate Olive Oil - This super-premium oil is first cold-pressed within hours of picking, never heated, and bottled in dark glass to preserve its nutritional integrity and full-bodied characteristics. The resulting rich flavor is in a category unto itself. You'll be putting this oil on everything. Perfect for someone who has everything - because they won't have this.

Glass Water Bottle - You Asked for It! We're excited about the new Glass Water Bottle from Anchor Hocking. Glass is considered the safest non-leaching material but, heck, it breaks. We can't guarantee this won't break, but it is insulated with double walled glass. We've been waiting for this product for awhile and we're so excited to finally offer it to you.

Stainless Steel Ice Cube Trays - Everything old is new again! First patented in 1933, stainless steel ice cube trays were soon replaced with aluminum trays. With recent concerns about leaching from plastic and aluminum, these food safe stainless steel trays are a welcomed comeback. Ideal not only for ice cubes, but for purees, baby food, and pesto as well. We're very excited to carry it.

Dear Reader,
Real Green Goods is in good company. Our Anniversary, July 11th, happens to be around the same day we celebrate our country's July 4th beginnings. Similar to the struggles America had when it first started and the learning curve that came with beginning something so unconventional, Real Green Goods has also learned so much during its sprouting phase. We continue to tweak our eco-criteria and have come to expect that, given ever changing technology, we will forever be evaluating "what we mean by green". As we continue to learn (and practice) new ways to lower our environmental impact, we hope to share our knowledge with the hopes that others might follow. Our customers have helped us to grow and learn, and may we simply say, "We love you guys!"

So, "anniversary" means party, right? That's right, so mark your calendars for this Saturday July 11th from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. for our official 2nd Anniversary Celebration. We have some pretty wonderful companies helping us celebrate. We cherish our customers and want to give back to you by offering special savings, discounts and real giveaways. And there will be live music too! In the event that you just can't make it (maybe you live 2,000 miles away), you can at least get your free soap by ordering online and we'll grant free-shipping for orders over $50 all day on Saturday July 11th.

Party Time
So here's our local celebration low down:
- Two of our vendors will be making personal appearances selling much more than we can fit into our store! Cottonfield USA, maker of organic cotton clothing and underwear will be selling many new and discontinued items for men and women. Pear Tree Studio will also be on hand with many more products than the cute recycled sweater toys that we already sell - they will include scarves, blankets and hats.
- For sustenance, Stonyfield Yogurt will be on hand, giving away FREE yogurt and available for Q & A.
- For cleaning, we'll be giving away bars of Vermont Amenity Soap to the first 300 customers, FREE.
- And for live music, we have a big surprise in the works!
- RGG will also be raffling off two tickets to the Premier Showing of Food, Inc. on July 24th at Red River Theatre (a $50 dollar value).
- We'll also be having sales and selling several brand new exciting products. (see below)
If you insist on giving us a birthday gift,we'll take it! On the top of our wish list are only 2 actions we are humbly requesting...
1) Please take this anonymous SURVEY - As former Mayor of NYC used to say "How am I doing?" ; and we need the same feedback. We want to serve YOU better, please help us.
Take Survey Now
2) Please Click FORWARD - and send this to as many people in your email lists as possible and tell them what a totally cool store we are. We have made a commitment to never produce catalogs, but we need your help to get our message out there.
Thank you so much for these generous birthday gifts. They are gratefully received.

Meet the Guests
We are so grateful to our guests for helping us celebrate and want you to know some details as to why they are so special:
COTTONFIELD USA
Cottonfield USA is a world renowned organic clothing company based in Massachusetts, founded by organic farmer and designer Yeumei Shon in 1999. Yeumei is certified to conduct organic standard inspections from raw materials to the finished product. She is also a senior fellow of both the Environmental Leadership Program in Washington D.C. and the Center for Whole Communities in Vermont. Cottonfield has received many recognitions including: Green America's "Rising Star" and an A+ from "The Guide to Ending Sweatshops". Cottonfield chooses fabrics and stitchers right here in the U.S. Talk about going local!
Cottonfield provides classic "never go out of style" clothing which bodes well with "green living". Cottonfiled USA organic fabric has been grown without pesticides (no nasties going downstream) and processed using low impact dyes without added flame retardants, formaldehyde or nanosilver that often and unknowingly are woven into traditional fabrics. We had one customer put on the soft crinkle dress and said she was never taking it off - and we believe her! RGG is proud to support (and we hope you will too) this local, high quality company who exemplifies our progressive eco-criteria.
PEAR TREE STUDIO
Pear Tree Studio, a cottage industry located in Harrisville, NH, is where new soft toys come alive from old recycled sweaters. Owner Marcy Schepker has been weaving her way between toys, tapestry and community for 36 years. When Marcy is not busy with 17 Summer Intensive Teenagers, or at the Dallas Interfaith Housing Coalition or getting ready for "Colorado Artist in Residence", you might find her preparing for the prestigious and "Oldest Craft Fair" in the country - at Mt. Sunapee. Pear Tree Studio is a member of the esteemed League of NH Craftmens and has represented NH twice at the International Very Special Arts Festival. Marcy is your quintessential green and socially responsible business owner. You'll be able to get a sneak preview (and sneak sale!) of what she'll be selling at Sunapee.
VERMONT SOAPWORKS
Lucky us to be right next door to Vermont Soapworks, known for their certified organic, food grade ingredients, making "natural and organic stuff that foams". If you use the foaming soap, you know just how addicting it is. VT Soap recently won the Best Organic Beauty Product by Better Nutrition Magazine and was first in Yankee Magazine's list of Green Cleaning Products. VT Soap has recently introduced a new product for fighting mosquitoes called Insect Armor.
RGG is proud to carry 18 of their soap bars and we can't even count how many hundreds we have sold. The colorful owner, Larry, tells some great stories and we particularly like how he got into the soap business. We're sorry you won't be able to actually meet the soap gang but we thank them for still sending us soap and hope you'll stop for a free sample.
STONYFIELD YOGURT
Our locally grown and organic Stonyfield Yogurt is one of the biggest and greenest success stories ever. And we are so proud to have them be a part of our Anniversary Celebration. Not only do they provide the best tasting and best for you yogurt, Stonyfield makes lowering their carbon output a constant priority. "Climate Counts" and "Menu for Change" are additional programs supporting the environment and healthy choices. Kristina, also locally grown, will be handing out free yogurt samples and coupons. A special thank you to Stonyfield Yogurt for setting the bar so high for "doing it right". Stonyfield also donates 10% of their profits to environmentally and socially responsible organizations through their Profits for the Planet program.
